This place NEVER disappoints! The rice cooked perfectly, meats always tender & seasoned well too.
Was pretty busy! This is my third time eating from here and I give it a thumbs up. Food is simple and tastes good. My fave thing on the menu though is the caramelized onion hummus!!! But apparently it's a limited time offering so I don't wanna get too attached lol. Food is fresh and prepared quickly. Note: the spicy red sauce is TRULY SPICY!!! don't do what I did and just squeeze the whole packet on without doing a test run. Lol. It tasted great but my mouth was on fire and my nose was running my whole meal. didn't stop me from eating tho! LOL Locay is right off of the 75N expressway/service road and shares the parking lot with OMG tacos, cheesesteak place, and a beer garden/restaurant so keep that in mind during evening times.
On a quick trip to Dallas to see family, my sister brought me here to grab lunch. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday, few people dining inside and I noticed outdoor seating also. The lobby area was clean and spacious with a variety of seating styles and table sizes. The menu is very easy to read, and they have great options. I got the halal bowl with chicken and beef, rice, lettuce tomato, all the fixings (olives, onions, jalapeños, white sauce, and a pinch of red sauce because I was warned that it is super spicy), and a few sliced of pita bread. Everything is made to order right in front of you, so you don't have to wait for your food. It was very good and way more filing than I thought. I could barely finish. They also have really cool drink options. I love their rice too, and they have a seasonal spicy lamb on the menu also that my sister got and it was delicious! Very tender and lots of warm spices. I really enjoyed them.
I apologize but the spiced slow braised lamb was in a league of its own and was gone before I could take a picture. Really the first to last bite were all amazing. Really wanted to take a picture. The flavor profile is so good. This is worth the "LIMITED TIME ONLY" $5 up charge for the Regular and $4 for the Small. All day, any day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
